(Editor’s note: This podcast is from The Not Old – Better show.)
This Fitness Friday podcast is about staying healthy and fit through the holidays. From now until New Year’s Day, your schedule will likely be filled with family obligations, traveling and festive outings with all sorts of tempting treats. It’s no surprise that many of us see our waistlines expand during the holiday season. Even the most disciplined people can find it difficult to stick to their health and fitness routines.
But, not to worry — this year can be different. To help keep us on track, we’re joined by a returning guest who is very popular with our Not Old Better audience, Stephanie Dailey, the director of the National Institute on Aging’s Go4Life exercise and physical activity campaign.
Dailey talks about planning ahead and setting goals during the holidays for health and fitness. For example, make physical activity a priority. Look at your calendar, find the times when you think holiday activities could derail your fitness routine and schedule around them. This will help ensure that you continue to get the exercise you need to stay healthy and feel great.
